Pilot

I'm working toward the airlines while working full-time. This is the route, and where I am on it.

  1. Private pilot written test

    In progress

Studying for the FAA Private Pilot knowledge test: airspace, weather, regulations, performance and navigation.

  2. Private pilot certificate

Part 61 training at Superior Flight School at Cobb County International (KRYY). Dual instruction, solo, cross-country, checkride.

  3. Instrument rating

Flying by reference to instruments, in the clouds and on approaches.

  4. Commercial certificate

The certificate that allows flying for pay.

  5. Flight instructor

Building hours by teaching, the most common route to airline minimums.

  6. The airlines

Airline transport pilot minimums, a regional or a pipeline program, and the long-term goal: Delta.
